Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Material Handler to print and distribute pick tickets, move materials, and support production scheduling. You will relay information to Material Support and assist with continuous improvement projects.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prints and distributes pick tickets and performs computer transactions.
• Organizes sequence of pulling material and relays information to Material Support.
• Ensures production schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods.
• Assist supervisor with Continuous Improvement Projects and evaluation of new equipment.
• Monitors and enforces shop floor control systems.
• Follows safety procedures and wears PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Prints anddistributespick tickets and performs computer transactions as necessary.
• Organizessequenceof pulling material and relays information to Material Support.
• Ensuresproduction schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods. Assists during daily peak times to include operating material handling equipment and perform all necessary computer transactions.
• Ensures good communication and feedback with management, employees on their shift,and between shifts.
• When assigned,assiststhe supervisor/area manager with Continuous Improvement Projects, evaluation of new equipment, determination of training needs and interviewing/hiring.
• Monitors andenforcesshop floor control systems.
• Follows all safety procedures, wears properPPE. Proactively identifies and corrects unsafe conditions.
• Studies systems and procedures for opportunities for improvement. Proposes changes to Materials Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical DemandsandWork Environment

• Some physicaldemand,often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to performoccasionalto frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection must be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
