Job summary

Center Manufacturing Acquisition is seeking a motivated individual to manage material handling and production support in Wisconsin. Responsibilities include organizing material sequences, ensuring production schedules, and promoting safety on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, good organizational skills, and experience in a related field. Physical demands include lifting and moving materials, with frequent engagement in manual labor tasks.

• Monitors and enforces shop floor control systems.
• Follows all safety procedures and wears proper PPE.
• Proposes changes for improvement to Materials Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Prints and distributes pick tickets and performs computer transactions as necessary.
• Organizes sequence of pulling material and relays information to Material Support.
• Ensures production schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods. Assists during daily peak times to include operating material handling equipment and perform all necessary computer transactions.
• Ensures good communication and feedback with management, employees on their shift, and between shifts.
• When assigned, assists the supervisor/area manager with Continuous Improvement Projects, evaluation of new equipment, determination of training needs and interviewing/hiring.
• Monitors and enforces shop floor control systems.
• Follows all safety procedures, wears proper PPE. Proactively identifies and corrects unsafe conditions.
• Studies systems and procedures for opportunities for improvement. Proposes changes to Materials Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Some physical demand, often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kg) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection must be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
