Valmont Industries, Inc. in El Dorado, KS is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate equipment such as straighteners, cutters, and a press brake, and to handle materials with an overhead crane.

Shift is 5:00 am–5:30 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (36 hours paid as 40); training 5:00 am–3:30 pm Mon–Thu. Starting wage is $22.68 per hour. You will ensure parts meet dimensions, read blueprints, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings.
• Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in a high-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment, verify dimensions from drawings.
• Observe operation and ensure conformance to specs and processes.
• Maintain a clean work area and operate an overhead crane.
