Job summary

Merrill Gardens is hiring a Senior Living Maintenance Assistant to support residents in our Greenville community. This full-time role involves general maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and carpentry, with weekend shifts as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of related experience, knowledge of MSDS and safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Requires 1-3 years related experience or training.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, floor care, heating and HVAC skills.
• Prefer knowledge of fire suppression & irrigation systems.
• Prefer motor vehicle maintenance ability.
• Flexible and must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned, including plumbing and electrical work, HVAC, painting and equipment repair.
• Maintain walls, floor coverings, doors, windows, furniture, woodwork in common areas.
• Repair and maintain vacated rooms promptly, including painting walls and cleaning carpets.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner & document additional work performed.
• Document safety issues and compliance with local, state and federal guidelines.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and safety training.
