Job summary

Merrill Gardens in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking a Senior Living Maintenance Assistant to support residents by performing general maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry tasks. You will respond to work orders, maintain walls and fixtures, and help keep common areas safe and welcoming.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience or training.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, floor care, heating and HVAC.
• Flexible and able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance projects including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
• Maintain walls, floors, doors, and fixtures in common areas.
• Repair vacated rooms and complete work orders promptly.
• Document safety issues and follow MSDS guidelines.
• Assist with safety training and vehicle cleaning.
• Respond to accidents and emergencies per protocol.
