Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in Charleston, SC seeks a Weekend Cook to join our scratch-based kitchen team. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring meals are safely cooked, visually appealing, and portioned to resident preferences.

You will build positive relationships with residents and team members, keep stations stocked and sanitary, and support opening/closing tasks to maintain a warm, welcoming weekend dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Available to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Must secure appropriate food handler permits within two weeks of first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes by cooking a wide variety of proteins and vegetables.
• Engage in continuous improvement by contributing ideas during meetings and staying open to feedback.
• Complete all assigned opening and closing tasks for each shift and support teammates to maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations stocked and organized and monitor refrigeration and pantry items for freshness.
• Ensure a sanitary kitchen environment by cleaning work areas and recording temperatures.
