Job summary

Willow Pines Retirement is seeking a Weekend Cook to join our scratch‑based kitchen team. You’ll work Saturdays and Sundays, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and helping to create meals that residents enjoy and that reflect our commitment to quality and presentation.

In this role you’ll build positive relationships with residents and staff, maintain clean stations, and ensure safety standards. Prior experience is preferred, and food handler permits may be required within two weeks of

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays, 8 hours per day.
• Able to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred.
• Able to secure food handler permits within two weeks of first day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high‑quality dishes using broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing.
• Contribute ideas during meetings and support the service line during meals.
• Complete opening and closing tasks and assist teammates to keep a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations stocked and organized, refresh pantry items and monitor refrigeration.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and record temperatures.
