Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities is seeking a Cook to deliver exceptional lunch and dinner in our scratch-based kitchen. You will prepare entrées and sides, ensure dish quality and portioning, and foster a welcoming dining environment for residents and guests.

You will work a Thursday–Monday schedule, with AM shifts as needed, and maintain food safety and kitchen organization to support a highstandard dining experience at our community in Charleston, SC.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred.
• Ability to secure food handler permits within two weeks of first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes by cooking a wide variety of proteins and vegetables, ensuring plates look appealing.
• Engage in continuous improvement by contributing ideas and staying open to feedback; maintain coverage during service hours.
• Complete all opening and closing tasks, including morning setup and end-of-day shutdown, while supporting teammates to keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Keep stations fully stocked and organized, monitor refrigeration, and refresh pantry items for freshness.
• Ensure a sanitary kitchen by cleaning areas and equipment and recording temperatures for safety and satisfaction.
