Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in South Portland, ME is seeking a Weekend Cook to join our scratch-based kitchen team. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring meals are safely cooked, visually appealing, and tailored to resident preferences.

In this role you will build positive relationships with residents, guests and team members, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and support service during meal hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays, 8 hours per day.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is preferred.
• Able to secure food handler permits within two weeks of first day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high‑quality dishes using a variety of methods, ensuring plates look appealing.
• Contribute ideas during meetings and maintain coverage of the service line during meal hours.
• Complete opening and closing tasks, support teammates, keep a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations stocked and organized, refresh pantry items and monitor refrigeration.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and check temperatures for safety and satisfaction.
