Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities is seeking a Relief Cook to cover Saturdays and Sundays in a scratch-based kitchen. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring food is safely cooked, visually appealing, and portioned to resident preferences.

Build positive relationships with residents, guests, and team members to foster a warm weekend atmosphere. Eligibility includes 18+ years of age, weekend availability, basic English, and kitchen experience; food handler permits may be required

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Weekend availability: Saturdays and Sundays, at least 8 hours per day.
Basic English reading, speaking and understanding.
Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is preferred.
Ability to obtain food handler permits as required within two weeks of start.

Responsibilities

Prepare and present high‑quality dishes using broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing.
Contribute ideas during meetings; stay open to feedback; cover service line during meals.
Complete opening and closing tasks for each shift; assist teammates to keep kitchen clean and organized.
Keep stations stocked and organized; refresh pantry items; monitor refrigeration.
Maintain sanitary kitchen environment by cleaning work areas and equipment, and checking temperatures.
