Job summary

State RN licensure required; Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 1 year inpatient experience. Day shift with potential weekend rotation; emphasize patient-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

• Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the school age, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.
• RN license required for practice in the state.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimens and standards.
• Initiates assessment based on patient needs and physician diagnosis.
• Collects information from patient, families, labs and reports; ensures consents and IDs are in order.
• Determines nursing diagnoses and care priorities, including patient education and discharge planning.
• Documents assessment findings and clinical judgments.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions as ordered by the physician.
• Mentors and supervises LPNs and other staff on the unit.
• Maintains patient records and supports patient safety and satisfaction.
