Lutheran Senior Services seeks an experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee the nursing staff in our long-term care facility. The role ensures professional nursing care in line with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

You will manage daily operations, coordinate admissions, and participate in surveys and committees. The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, CPR certification, and at least two years of geriatric supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• Two+ years of supervisory experience in a geriatric environment.
• Must hold a current state nursing license (RN). BSN preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Must be able to follow written or oral directions.
• Must have patience, tact, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Legible handwriting and good telephone/filing skills.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and monitor daily activities of the nursing services department staff.
• Coach/counsel nursing service personnel as necessary and ensure policy adherence.
• Develop, update, and maintain policies and procedures for Nursing Services.
• Perform administrative duties: evaluations, scheduling, medical record documentation, and reporting.
• Participate in direct resident care when necessary.
• Attend committee meetings as required.
• Provide coverage in absence of Director of Nursing/Charge Nurse/MDS Coordinator.
• Assist with in-service training of staff.
• Participate in regulatory surveys and inspections.
• Maintain infection control and disaster preparedness practices.
• Protect resident and employee confidentiality.
• Conduct rounds to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery.
• Coordinate admission processes for new residents.
