Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee the nursing staff in a long-term care facility. The role involves coordinating daily activities, policy development, administrative duties, and hands-on resident care when needed.

The incumbent will report to the Director of Nursing, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain infection control and disaster preparedness standards while guiding staff through surveys and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• Two+ years of supervisory experience in a geriatric environment.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must hold a current state RN nursing license; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily activities of the nursing services department staff.
• Participate in development and updating of policies for Nursing Services.
• Perform administrative duties including evaluations, assignments, scheduling, and RAI/MDS.
• Participate in direct resident care when necessary.
• Represent in committee meetings as required.
