Responsibilities

• Supervise Nursing Staff: assign and delegate duties based on census and staff availability.
• Oversee Medication Management: monitor administration and coordinate reorders.
• Implement Care Plans: ensure plans follow policies and physician orders.
• Provide Direct Care Support: perform and supervise treatments as needed.
• Manage Documentation: transcribe physician orders and maintain records.
• Lead Shift Communication: participate in shift reports and inform staff of care needs.
• Ensure Compliance: enforce infection control and safe work practices.
• Respond to Staffing Needs: coordinate coverage for shortages.
• Oversee Incidents: investigate variances and complete incident reports.
• Manage Lab Work: monitor lab orders, results, and physician follow-up.
