Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the 24-hour-per-week weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday, 0700-1900) in the 34100 GCMG Adult Hospital at Home - Nursing department in Charlotte, NC. The role requires an RN license and BLS, with typical duties across the nursing process and patient care continuum.

The RN will participate in quality initiatives, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• BSN preferred and/or higher education may be required based on dept. policies.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Upholds a culture of safety and collaborative care.
• Delivers medications and therapies per protocols and ensures accurate documentation.
• Interacts with patients and families to support continuum of care.
• Maintains timely EHR documentation and participates in staff development.
