Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Mount Juliet, TN seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team. The RT must hold state licensure (RRT/CRT) and be able to evaluate and treat independently, with geriatric care passion.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, initiating therapies, documenting meticulously, and providing bedside treatments. Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care is preferred; opportunity to contribute to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy; long-term care setting experience.
• Follow facility procedures and policies; manage caseload and audits.
