Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Brentwood, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric rehab team. The RT will evaluate and treat independently, with a license in the state and passion for geriatric care.

The role involves completing assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and participating in IDT meetings. Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings is preferred, with adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
