Job summary
Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing team. The successful candidate will evaluate and treat residents independently, operate respiratory equipment, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning to enhance patient experience.
Responsibilities include bedside therapies, documentation, and staff in-services, with experience in tracheostomy care and pulmonary programs.
Qualifications
- Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program
- Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients with respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses
- Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment
- Perform bedside treatments and complete in-services for nursing staff quarterly
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings
- Experience with tracheotomy and in long-term care settings
- Follow facility procedures and policies; track audits and caseloads
- Manage airway clearance, chest physiotherapy, and CPAP/BiPAP therapies
