Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Tennessee is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing facility team. The RT should independently evaluate and treat residents, possess state licensure, and demonstrate a passion for geriatric care.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and delivering bedside treatments while supporting nursing staff and participating in departmental activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and contribute to nursing staff education quarterly.
• Maintain documentation daily, weekly, and monthly and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings; follow facility procedures.
