Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Tennessee is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The candidate should be licensed in the state, able to evaluate and treat independently, and passionate about geriatric care.

Responsibilities include bedside care, initiating therapies, documenting treatments, participating in IDT meetings, and following facility procedures. Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility.
• Performs tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Described in the Departmental Policy and procedure Manual in various respiratory interventions.

COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program

RRT or CRT license
