Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused team in a skilled nursing environment. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, with a passion for improving their experience.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and providing care in a busy LTC facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and track progress.
• Conduct nursing in-services quarterly.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Perform caseload management and related duties as required.
