The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a geriatric-focused team in a skilled nursing setting. The role requires independent evaluation and treatment, with responsibilities spanning assessment, therapy initiation, patient documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff.

Candidates must hold a COARC-accredited respiratory degree, have RRT or CRT licensure, and current BLS certification in Florida.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification and state license in the practicing state.

Aufgaben

• Assesses and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with various illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and participate in nursing education quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation and attend IDT meetings.
• Work with patients with tracheotomy and in long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and policy; manage caseloads and audits.
• Perform related duties as required.
