Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. You will assess and treat residents, initiate therapies, and document progress while working closely with nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Candidates must hold an AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy, be licensed in Florida (RRT/CRT), and possess BLS certification. Prior LTC and tracheostomy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state; BLS certification.
• Experience in long-term care and with tracheostomy.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and therapies; document progress.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records; operate equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and train nursing staff quarterly.
• Attend IDT meetings; manage caseload; follow facility protocols.
• CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy and airway clearance techniques.
