Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Florida is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The ideal candidate will hold an active state license and have experience in geriatric care, with independence in assessment and therapy delivery.

Responsibilities include bedside treatments, documentation, and participating in IDT meetings, with a focus on respiratory care and patient comfort. Prior tracheotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to support rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
