Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for Saturday and Sunday coverage in a Skilled Nursing facility. The RT will assess, treat, and manage respiratory care for geriatric residents, with independent practice and adherence to facility protocols.

Responsibilities include initiating therapies, maintaining records, operating equipment, and participating in IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Perform bedside respiratory treatments and document daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings and participate in caseload management.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
