Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team with Saturday and Sunday coverage. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, supporting geriatric care and comfort.

Responsibilities include initiating therapies, maintaining records, and conducting staff in-services; prior tracheotomy experience and long-term care exposure are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and therapeutic interventions.
• Initiate therapies, document patient records, and manage equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and complete quarterly in-services for staff.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
