Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused team in a Skilled Nursing facility.

The role requires RRT or CRT licensure, COARC accredited AS/BS, BLS, and prior experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings. Weekend (Saturday/Sunday) coverage is required, with independent patient evaluation and bedside treatments.

Qualifications

• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Licesed Respiratory Therapist in state of practice with BLS.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab and care of patients with respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings; follow facility procedures.
