Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic team in a skilled nursing facility. The candidate must hold a Florida license, be able to evaluate and treat independently, and support geriatric residents with respiratory and related therapies.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, initiating therapies, documenting progress, and participating in quarterly in-services for nursing staff, with a schedule

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for varied patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and document daily, weekly and monthly.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in rounding.
• Provide care including tracheotomy-related tasks and pulmonary support.
• Follow facility policies and maintain caseload management.
