The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Florida is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, complete assessments, initiate therapies, and manage documentation and bedside treatments.

Candidates must hold an active state license (RRT or CRT) and graduate from COARC accredited program; BLS certification is required.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program, licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification is required.

Aufgaben

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients with various illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform a variety of bedside treatments and document daily, weekly, monthly activity.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in group respiratory therapy sessions.
• Provide care for tracheostomy patients; manage airway clearance and related duties.
• Follow facility procedures and perform caseload tracking and auditing.
