Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing care team. The RT will assess and treat residents with various respiratory conditions, work independently, and participate in interdisciplinary care to enhance patient outcomes.

Candidates must hold a Florida license (RRT or CRT) and a COARC-accredited degree, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification.
• Licensed in the state of practice (Florida).

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapies to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records and equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and daily documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Manage caseload and perform tracking and audits.
• Provide tracheostomy care and airway clearance techniques.
