Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in New York is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist for a full-time role with Saturday and Sunday coverage in a skilled nursing setting. • Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapies for rehabilitation and care.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Perform a variety of bedside treatments.
• Attend in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Complete tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Perform related duties as required.
