Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in New York is seeking a full‑time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The ideal candidate is licensed in the practice state, capable of independent assessment and therapy, and passionate about geriatric care.

Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday coverage. Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, operating equipment, and delivering bedside treatments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings and participate in case management.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting.
