Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The successful candidate will evaluate and treat residents independently, with a passion for geriatric care, and hold an active license in the practicing state.

Responsibilities include conducting respiratory assessments, initiating therapies, and documenting care while collaborating with nursing and therapy staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the state of practice.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Provide in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Complete tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Includes respiratory interventions such as oxygen weaning, aerosol therapy, CPAP/BIPAP, chest physiotherapy, and airway clearance techniques.

Education

COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program
