Job summary

Apploi in Tennessee seeks a full‑time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team serving geriatric residents. The RT must be licensed in the state, capable of independent evaluation and therapy, and committed to improving patient experience through therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, documenting progress, and participating in IDT meetings. Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program with active license as RRT or CRT
• Licensed in the state where practicing; BLS certification required
• Experience in long-term care settings and geriatric care preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and implement respiratory therapies to support rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and participate in quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Attend IDT meetings and manage daily/weekly/monthly documentation.
• Provide tracheostomy care and manage airway clearance techniques.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
