Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a Skilled Nursing facility. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, providing respiratory care in a geriatric population.

Requirements include COARC-accredited degree, state license (RRT/CRT), and BLS. The role entails shift work on weekends with a strong emphasis on documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as an RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to advance rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Provide in-services for nursing staff each quarter.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings as required.
• Assist with tracheotomy care and long-term care respiratory needs.
• Follow facility procedures and policies.
• Handle tracking, auditing and caseload management.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
