Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. Ideal candidates hold a COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy and are licensed as RRT/CRT in the practicing state, with BLS certification.

This role emphasizes independent evaluation and therapeutic activities for the geriatric population. You will assess, treat, document, and participate in IDT meetings, while performing a broad range of respiratory interventions and bedside therapies in a long-term

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT/CRT.
• Licensed in the state practicing with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with diverse respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates, checks, and assembles equipment.
• Performs bedside treatments and documents activities across shifts.
• Conducts in-services for nursing staff each quarter.
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly documentation tasks.
• Attends applicable IDT meetings and participates in care planning.
• Requires experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Follows facility procedures and protocol for clinical care.
• Performs tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required and supports department goals.
• Describes skilled interventions: Oxygen weaning therapy, Aerosol therapy, Chest physiotherapy, CPAP/BIPAP.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
