Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a Skilled Nursing Facility team in Tennessee. The RT will assess and treat geriatric residents, initiate therapies, document thoroughly, and collaborate with nursing staff to advance patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold COARC-accredited AS/BS in Respiratory, TN license (RRT/CRT), and BLS. Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care is preferred. Flexible weekend scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Starts respiratory therapies and maintains patient records.
• Performs bedside treatments and operates/assembles equipment.
• Conducts quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Attends IDT meetings and tracks caseload.
• Gives care for patients with tracheostomies; works in long-term care.
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures.
• Performs respiratory testing and airway clearance techniques.
• Manages oxygen weaning and pulmonary therapy programs.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
