Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for a Skilled Nursing facility in Tennessee. The role focuses on geriatric care, requires state licensure, and independent evaluation and treatment abilities to support residents’ rehabilitation.

Preferred experience includes tracheotomy care and long-term care settings, with duties ranging from assessments and therapies to documentation and participation in IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and apply respiratory techniques to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, and operate equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments.
• Provide quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Track, audit, and manage caseload.
• Perform related duties as required.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
