Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for a Skilled Nursing facility. The RT will assess and treat geriatric residents, initiate therapies, maintain records, and participate in care planning with the IDT.

The role emphasizes independent work, equipment handling, and adherence to facility protocols. Requirements include a COARC-accredited degree and state licensure (RRT/CRT) with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat residents independently within rehab and respiratory care plans.
• Initiate therapies, document progress and maintain patient records.
• Perform bedside treatments and respiratory procedures as prescribed.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in care planning.
• Manage caseload, keep equipment prepared, and ensure clean technique.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
