Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota seeks a Positive Support Specialist for Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS). You will support individuals with medical, behavioral, and mental health needs using person-centered planning to help goals while ensuring safety.

Responsibilities include fostering independence in daily living, advocating for client rights and care, and maintaining meticulous shift documentation with trauma-informed care at the core. Weekend rotation emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass background check (BCA)
• Driver's license and MVR required
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• High school diploma required; degree in related field preferred
• 1–2 years of experience with complex needs; 3–5 years preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in life skills.
• Advocate for clients' rights and medical care.
• Complete documentation and shift records accurately.
• Manage crisis situations safely; training provided in PBIS and restraints.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
