Job summary

Marvin is hiring a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems on production equipment in our Kansas City, KS facility. The role includes ladder logic work on Allen Bradley platforms, and documented maintenance in our EAM system.

Must obtain forklift and aerial licenses; EAM and Microsoft Office skills required. We offer day-one health insurance, PTO, a wellbeing account, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a path from day shift training to the weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role is required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Enterprise Asset Management software experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are expected.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment to detect hazards and determine need for repair or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
• Use ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the EAM system.
• Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with technical staff.
• Maintain backups of control programs for electrical devices.
• Evaluate system performance of new equipment under real conditions.
• Set up servo controls and drive parameters; operate servo and motors.
• Assist with PLC troubleshooting and provide PLC support across the plant.
