Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian seeks a Part-Time Patient Access Registrar to ensure accurate, courteous registration and data collection for radiology services across multiple sites. You will verify insurance, input demographic data, and perform pre-registration tasks while supporting a smooth patient experience.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least 1 year registrar experience, with strong MS Office and EMR proficiency. Weekend availability, standing and mobility are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a complex clinic setting and/or Patient Access Department.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Basic computer literacy; proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with EMR systems.
• Superior customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain smooth workflow in the registration areas.
• Interview patients/representatives for demographic and financial data; input into ADT/EHR systems.
• Perform pre-registration and registration tasks including insurance verification and authorization.
• Cover Radiology and other locations as needed; schedule requires Saturday-Sunday shifts.
