Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian seeks a Part-Time Patient Access Registrar to ensure accurate, courteous registration and data collection for radiology services across multiple sites. You will verify insurance, input demographic data, and perform pre-registration tasks while supporting a smooth patient experience.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least 1 year registrar experience, with strong MS Office and EMR proficiency. Weekend availability, standing and mobility are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a complex clinic setting and/or Patient Access Department.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Basic computer literacy; proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with EMR systems.
• Superior customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain smooth workflow in the registration areas.
• Interview patients/representatives for demographic and financial data; input into ADT/EHR systems.
• Perform pre-registration and registration tasks including insurance verification and authorization.
• Cover Radiology and other locations as needed; schedule requires Saturday-Sunday shifts.

Job description

Start Date: 10/27/2026 End Date: 10/31/2026

In this role, you will be responsible for setting the stage for the patient experience, by professionally and efficiently providing patients and visitors with unparalleled customer service. Under direction, maintains a smooth workflow within the assigned department registration areas. Oversees the registration process to ensure patients are registered courteously, confidentially, efficiently, accurately. Interview patient or representatives for financial and demographic data and accurately inputting information into the Hospital's ADT/EHR computer systems. Perform pre-registration and registration functions including but not limited to insurance verification and authorization. This full-time position will be trained to cover all areas of Radiology and will cover Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, Center for Community Health (CCH), and Wesley House Access Center locations as needed. This is a Part-Time position working Saturday and Sunday, 12:00pm - 8:30pm.

Salary

• Salary Range: $28.59-$30.34/Hourly
