Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian seeks an Access Service Representative for Radiology. This part-time role covers weekend mornings and supports patient flow from arrival through registration, ensuring accuracy and privacy in data entry.

Responsibilities include documenting demographic/financial data, verifying insurance, and inputting information into the hospital’s ADT/EHR systems. The position may require coverage across Radiology sites as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year registrar-related experience.
Basic computer literacy.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems.
Superior customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Standing, walking, sitting, push/pull 10+ lbs, reaching, talking, hearing.

Responsibilities

Set the stage for the patient experience by providing courteous, confidential service.
Register patients accurately and input financial/demographic data into the ADT/EHR systems.
Perform pre-registration and registration functions, including insurance verification and authorization.
Cover Radiology registrations and related sites as needed, including Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, CCH and Wesley House Access Center.
