Job summary

The City of Raleigh’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is seeking a Weekend Operations Analyst for Dix Park. This role leads weekend maintenance operations across multiple park locations, overseeing a Weekend Support Team and a Park Maintenance Crew to ensure cleanliness, safety, and park readiness.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated and capable of working independently or with a team, with responsibilities spanning operations planning, staff coordination, and communications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Education, Natural Resource Management, or related field.
  • 1–3 years' experience in park operations or related work is preferred.
  • Experience supervising weekend staff and coordinating volunteers is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee weekend park operations and ensure quality and efficiency through inspections and follow-up.
  • Direct a weekend team responsible for litter removal, cleaning, inspections and upkeep of spaces.
  • Plan and execute small park improvement projects and coordinate with staff and contractors.
  • Serve as weekend point-of-contact for maintenance needs and service requests.
  • Maintain logs, reports, and inventories related to maintenance activities and equipment.
