Baystate Health’s Main Operating Room in Springfield, MA seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to join a fast-paced team. You will support surgeons with sterile technique, instrument handling, and intraoperative care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room setting.
• Ability to work weekend and first shift schedule as described.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist under surgeon/physician guidance to facilitate invasive procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and proper handling of instruments and specimens.
• Anticipate needs of surgeons and team to promote safe, efficient care.
• Support multiple surgical specialties including minimally invasive, invasive, and diagnostic cases.
• Document intraoperative care and patient information accurately.
• Ensure equipment is safe, inspected, and properly used per policy.
• Understand patient history, allergies, and intraoperative care plan.
