Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist for Chestnut Surgery Center in Springfield, MA. This full-time position supports safe, efficient surgical care under the supervision of the Unit Manager and RN leads.

You will work with surgeons to maintain a sterile field, assist with instrumentation, and contribute to positive patient outcomes. The role offers a Mon-Fri schedule with no weekends or holidays and includes a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• Associates Degree required.
• Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field and surgical environment per infection-control standards.
• Anticipate surgeon and physician needs during procedures.
• Ensure instrumentation, supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning for anesthesia and specialty procedures.
• Set up, clean, position and manage intraoperative equipment.
• Communicate patient needs to the care team; maintain sterile field.
