Job summary

Baystate Noble Hospital is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to support a range of surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment. You will help prepare sterile fields, anticipate the needs of surgeons, and ensure instrumentation and supplies are ready for cases.

You will work under supervision with rotating call and a Monday-Thursday, 40-hour week, in Westfield, MA. The role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and maintaining sterile technique across specialties.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• Associates of Science degree required.
• Grandfather provision may apply for prior experience.
• No prior Surgical Technologist experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field per infection control standards.
• Anticipate needs of surgeons and physicians during procedures.
• Ensure instrumentation, supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.
• Set up and manage intraoperative equipment.
• Maintain professional communication with the care team.
• Adapt to changes in the intraoperative plan of care.
