Baystate Noble Hospital (Baystate Health) in Westfield, MA seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a full-time role with a 40-hour work week, Monday through Thursday, and rotating call coverage. The position supports diverse surgical specialties and emphasizes sterile technique and teamwork to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities include preparing the sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and maintaining instruments and equipment. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• No prior Surgical Technologist experience required.
• Grandfather Provision applies to certain employees prior to July 1, 2013.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical environment per infection control standards.
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and physicians during procedures.
• Ensure instrumentation, supplies, and equipment are ready for procedures.
• Communicate patient needs to nurses, surgeons, and other care team members.
• Set up, clean, and manage intraoperative equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medications used in the sterile field.
