Job summary

Seattle's Union Gospel Mission is seeking a Weekend Overnight Support Services Associate I to help maintain a safe, orderly shelter environment and provide backup support to staff at the Women & Children’s Shelter. Shifts run Saturday through Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM with starting pay of $21.83 plus a $1 shift differential.

Responsibilities include janitorial tasks, safety assessments, building walks, and administrative support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience is highly preferred.
• Staying awake during overnight hours is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties, including duties left over from a different shift.
• Assess and record safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Perform random and frequent walks through the entire interior of the building; log evening report.
• Handle issues that may arise with individuals during an overnight shift.
• Occasionally conduct room checks or searches as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls on overnight shift (if applicable).
• Assist with administrative duties and backup for Guest Services ( Breathalyzer tests and urine analysis).
• Handle office telephones and monitor incoming people; record messages for clients and staff.
• Provide referrals for callers when necessary.
• Participate in meetings, training, and initiatives as required.
